TCSRO Shares Excellent Video Opportunity

August 29, 2022

TCSRO is very exited to share Doug Marshak's excellent analysis of the video clip from the Metro Prep v. Humboldt  discussing the video clip in the Metro Prep v. Humboldt game in the 2021 State Tournament. This clip was shown during this year's high school clinic. We encourage everyone to watch the video. Veteran and new officials will find it useful and instructive.

Doug provides a detailed analysis of a high school soccer clip and looks at what went wrong and what referees can to do fix it. In this clip a bad slide tackle results in a caution, opponents surrounding the injured player, a coach on the field, players surrounding the referee, a player pushing the coach, and dissent from the coach among other things. His analysis breaks down the foul with an understandable explanation of how to handle the misconduct and discusses when to pull a card as well as making sure to check on the injured player. He also reviews warning signs and flash points and addresses handling coaches on the field.
